1) Programme Management<br />

Describe the arrangements for the operational management of the programme <strong>and</strong> the quality assurance<br />

mechanisms that will be put in place. Consideration should be given to student representatives <strong>and</strong> hearing<br />

student views.<br />

Complete either section a) for programmes delivered by one School/Institute or section b) for programmes<br />

delivered by more than one School/Institute.<br />

a) Single School/Institute Delivery<br />

The Masters in Public Administration is run from the School of Business <strong>and</strong> Management. All compulsory <strong>and</strong> elective modules<br />

will be taught by academic staff in the school.<br />

Staff working on the programme in the School will select applicants.<br />

A full initial induction day dedicated exclusively for MPA students, led by academic <strong>and</strong> administrative staff in the School, will<br />

begin the programme for each incoming cohort in September.<br />

The programme follows the same oversight procedure within the School as the MSc programmes do, through the Director of<br />

Taught Postgraduate Programmes.<br />

An MPA student representative will be elected from each cohort of students to provide direct <strong>and</strong> regular feedback to the<br />

programme director <strong>and</strong> the Director of Taught Postgraduate Programmes.<br />
