Plant, Port Washington Power Plant and Valley Power Plant were used in
their studies.

Their investigation has
determined that the
addition of 10–15%
(weight basis) of
bottom ash provides
desired soil porosities.
In addition, the ash
blended soils exhibit
excellent micronutrient
composition.
The mixture also meets
all of the state and
federal limits for trace
elements in composted
soils. Bottom ash has been blended with peat, compost and manure to
manufacture about 300 cubic yards of manufactured topsoil for We Energies
landscaping projects with excellent results.

for fly ash and bottom
