Apple may believe its platform management is a prudent way to ensure high quality content, but there is a fine line between platform quality and overly strict reviews that risk stifling development and innovation. As developers run up against approval delays and possible rejection from the App Store, Apple – as gatekeeper to the largest mobile application distribution platform – could wind up building a problematic walled garden for developers. 181
