USA TV Industry May Provide a Useful Proxy for <strong>Mobile</strong><br />

Cable + satellite subscription revenue of $71B (48% of 2008 total) grew at a 12%<br />

CAGR since 2000<br />

Pay-per-view revenue of $3.3B (2% of total) supported a 20% CAGR<br />

Advertising revenue - traditionally the dominant revenue driver - grew at only a<br />

2% CAGR to $72B in revenue and saw its overall share decline to 49% of USA<br />

TV revenue in 2008 from 67% in 2000.<br />
