<strong>Mobile</strong> Overtook Fixed-Line Broadband in 2008<br />

• Broadband growth has picked up in Philippines since 2007 as several competing wireless<br />

technologies (HSPA / WiMAX…) have emerged<br />

• While broadband household penetration is still low (mid-single digits), we expect the<br />

penetration level to double in the next 3-5 years<br />

• <strong>The</strong>re has been a steady increase in wireless broadband subscribers, who are now more<br />

than fixed broadband subscribers<br />
