<strong>The</strong> above risk assessment is based on the final build which will be designed using the required dose<br />

constraints (Section 2.4). Some hospitals have developed their own template for use when performing a<br />

radiation risk assessment for X‐ray and nuclear medicine departments/facilities.<br />

An example <strong>of</strong> some issues to be considered during a risk assessment for the design and construction <strong>of</strong> new<br />

medical facilities is presented in Appendix B.<br />
