Before looking for a job, you should think carefully what the most important<br />
thing is for you in a job.<br />
1. Is it m<strong>on</strong>ey? recogniti<strong>on</strong>? something interesting? adventurous?<br />
2. Are you ready to take risks, undergo stressful and dangerous situati<strong>on</strong>s if the job is<br />
interesting for you?<br />
3. Do you believe that advances are possible without great commitment?<br />

Career prospects<br />
The type of work that people do is c<strong>on</strong>stantly changing as man develops and<br />
modifies his way of living. In fact, in <strong>on</strong>ly ten years major changes have been seen in<br />
the workforce in various sectors of ec<strong>on</strong>omy. They reflect changes in the technology<br />
and lifestyle.<br />
There is an evident increase of workforce in the service sector which includes the<br />
retail trade, tourist-related services such as hotels as well as transport, communicati<strong>on</strong>s,<br />
finance, property, research and development, educati<strong>on</strong> and health care c<strong>on</strong>nected with<br />
it.<br />
The largest developments were seen in the new informati<strong>on</strong> and communicati<strong>on</strong><br />
technologies, which have grown rapidly since 1990.The developments in ICTs 1 have<br />
had a huge influence <strong>on</strong> jobs in all sectors, as computer technology has greatly affected<br />
the way in which work is d<strong>on</strong>e. The means of producti<strong>on</strong>, distributi<strong>on</strong> and<br />
communicati<strong>on</strong> have all been transformed in a very short time. It is c<strong>on</strong>sidered that <strong>on</strong>e<br />
in twenty new jobs will be in ICTs in the future. Ec<strong>on</strong>omists predict that these<br />
tendencies will c<strong>on</strong>tinue. Fewer people will be employed in industry and agriculture.<br />
Nearly all researchers agree that there will be a great breakthrough in medicine.<br />
