<strong>Indigenous</strong> peoples’ regi<strong>on</strong>al summit<strong>on</strong> climate change held in 2009 13• Asia Regi<strong>on</strong>al Summit <strong>on</strong> <strong>Climate</strong> <strong>Change</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Indigenous</strong> <strong>Peoples</strong>,Feb. 27-28;• African <strong>Indigenous</strong> <strong>Peoples</strong>’ Summit <strong>on</strong> <strong>Climate</strong> <strong>Change</strong>, March 5-6;• Latin American Summit <strong>on</strong> <strong>Climate</strong> <strong>Change</strong> <strong>and</strong> its Impact <strong>on</strong><strong>Indigenous</strong> <strong>Peoples</strong>, March 24-25.The <strong>Indigenous</strong> <strong>Peoples</strong>’ Global Summit <strong>on</strong> <strong>Climate</strong> <strong>Change</strong> was held <strong>on</strong>April 20-24 in Anchorage, Alaska. The summit was attended by around400 indigenous participants from the different regi<strong>on</strong>s of the world.
