ََُّّْ134 With Love to Muhammad sa the Khātam-un-Nabiyyīnthere was a danger of confusion being made between therevelation of the Holy Qur’an and others. Based on thissituation, the Holy Prophet sa only made this singularinterpretation of the word mubashirāt by saying that it refers to“true dreams.” Allāma Ibn Hajar illustrates this further when hewrites:aبَ‎د ْ‏َانوaاِ‏ خْ‏ تaامa‏َثْرَ‏ َ تہa‏ِ‏ نْ‏‏ِکہa۔۔۔a ہaو َ aز َaارa ِ a‏َدورaالا ُ ِ ِ aذَ‏ ِ نaاب ِa نِ‏ َ ْ ٔ ِْ a ہaااللهaبِہِ‏ ُ َ َّ‏ْسa َِ نْ‏َ He states that the frequency of revelation (for others) wasminimal close to the time of the Holy Prophet sa as compared tothe later period due to this secret of the Decree of Allāh that therevelation of the Qur’ān may not be mixed with any other typeof revelation. 131The Clue in the Word Al-MubashirātThe final point to be noted is that the word al-mubashirātindicates a very important message of the Holy Qur’ān. Whenwe search the Holy Qur’an for the mention of any bashārat orglad tiding, we are obliged to say that there is a bashārat given tothe people by Hazrat ‘Īsā as with the very words:وَمُبَشرّ‏ ِ ‏ًا بِرَسُ‏ وْلٍ‏ ايَّْتىِ‏ ْ مِنْ‏ ۢ بَعْدِىْ‏ اسمْ‏ ‏ُهٗ‏ ۤ اَحمْ‏ ‏َدُ‏…giving glad tidings of a Messenger who will comeafter me. His name will be Ahmad… 132 ’131Ibid.132Sūrah As-Saff, 61:7
