304 With Love to Muhammad sa the Khātam-un-Nabiyyīnother words, the death of Hazrat Ibrāhīm occurred 4years after the revelation of the verse of Khātam-an-Nabiyyīn. Now, an ordinary, dull person canunderstand that if the Holy Prophet Muhammad saunderstood the verse of Khātam-an-Nabiyyīn to meanthat every kind of prophethood has ended forever, hecould never have made this statement, “If he hadlived, he would have become a prophet.” He couldhave said, “He did not remain alive so that he doesnot become a prophet,” but he did not say this.Instead, he said, “If he had lived, he would havebecome a prophet,” even though he should have said,“If Ibrāhīm lived for a thousand years, he would nothave been a prophet.” This is because a prophet, whohas been told that no prophet shall come after him tillthe Day of Judgement, can only say at the most, at thetime of the death of his son in front of him, that, “Hewas a good and pious boy, but since my God has toldme that no prophet shall come in this ummah, as longas this child had remained alive, he would not havebecome a prophet.” This would have been hisstatement, but he did not say this.Other than that, there is another narration, and it isvery interesting. In it, the issue of ba‘ad has beenended completely. Hazrat ‘Alī bin Abī Tālib ranarrates:الaاaتوaابرامaارلaابaaااللهaہaوaہaجاتہaوaتہaوaتہaوaخرجa مaاہaاربہaوaخرجaااسaہaدہaوaادخلaابaa
