186 With Love to Muhammad sa the Khātam-un-Nabiyyīn192ِٕ الْمَلٰ‏ ۤ ىكَةُ‏ طَ‏ يّ‏اذلَّ‏ ‏ِيْنَ‏ تَتَوَفّ‏ ‏ٰىهُمُ‏ِٕ الْمَلٰ‏ ۤ ىكَةُ‏ ظَ‏ ۤ الِمِىْ‏ اَنْفُسِ‏ هِمْ‏اذلَّ‏ ‏ِيْنَ‏ تَتَوَفّ‏ ‏ٰىهُمُ‏191ۙ‏ِبِينْ‏ َThus Ibn-e-‘Abbās, may Allāh be pleased with him,believed that Jesus as had died. Our readers must beaware that Ibn-e-‘Abbās was among the foremost ofthose who comprehended the Holy Qur’ān perfectly.The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allāh beupon him) had prayed for him that he might bebestowed true knowledge of the Holy Qur’ān. 193At another place, he writes:It is for this purpose that Imām Bukhārī (may Allāhhave mercy on him), has quoted the verse:194فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنىِ‏ ْ كُنْتَ‏ اَنْتَ‏ الرَّقِيْبَ‏ عَلَيهْ‏ ‏ِمْ‏in Kitāb-ut-Tafsīr.
