Continuation of Prophethood according to the Holy Qur’ān 263Allāh has bestowed His blessings). In other words, ithas been stated that whoever obeys Allāh and theMessenger sa from among you, Allāh, the Exalted, willinclude him in those people who were blessed byAllāh in earlier times. Imām Rāghib has written,“There are four groups of those who are blessed inrespect of status and piety – the prophet with theprophet, and the siddīq with the siddīq, and the shahīdwith the shahīd, and the sālih with the sālih. AndImām Rāghib has considered it possible that theprophets (of this ummah) are also included with theوaنaعa‏“‏ prophets, just as Allāh, the Exalted, has said,(And whoso obeys Allāh and the ‏”االله aو aارولMessenger sa ) in the meaning of ‏”‏نaابن“‏ (from theprophets) and from after them. 259It is clear from this statement that Imām Rāghib has saidsomething completely in accord with the Ahmadiyya Muslimunderstanding. This quotation has been presented to make itclear that this commentary is not something ‘new’ that theAhmadiyya Muslim Jamā‘at presents. It has been done byprevious scholars of Islām as well.Questions for Farhan Khan:1. Why does he think Allāh, the Exalted, stated, ‏”‏نaابن“‏(from among the prophets), and not, ‏”‏عaابن“‏ (with theprophets), in 4:70?259Behr-ul-Muhīt, Volume 3, Page 287
