192 With Love to Muhammad sa the Khātam-un-Nabiyyīnwhy don’t you simply admit that you are notprepared to believe in the Holy Qur’an? 204It is clear from this verse presented by the Promised Messiah asin the above quotation that all those who are worshipped byothers are dead, not living. This includes Hazrat ‘Īsā as and noone can argue that he is not worshipped by his followers.Challenge of the Promised Messiah as !Regarding the usage of the word tawaffī to connote“death,” the Promised Messiah as has given the followingchallenge:Let it be understood by all Muslims that it has beenestablished beyond any doubt, according to the HolyQur’an and hadīth, that Jesus son of Mary (peace beupon him) died on earth after fulfilling the span ofhis life in accordance with the verse:205فِيهْ‏ ‏َا تحَ‏ ‏ْيَوْ‏ نَ‏ وَفِيهْ‏ ‏َا تَمُوْتُوْ‏ نَ‏It is further clear on the authority of sixteen versesof the Holy Qur’ān, and a number of ahādīthcontained in Bukhārī, Muslim and other authenticcompilations, that those who die are never sent backto dwell in this world, nor is anyone subjected todeath twice, nor does the Holy Qur’ān lay down any204Izāla-e-Auhām, Rūhānī Khazā’in, Volume 3, Page 431, trans. in The Essenceof Islām, Volume 3, Pages 199-200205‘Therein shall you live, and therein shall you die.’—Al-A‘rāf, 7:26[Publisher]
