God has informed me that the Masīh of the<strong>Muhammad</strong>an dispensation is greater in statuscompared <strong>to</strong> the Masīh of the Mosaic dispensation.However, I have great respect for Masīh as IbnMariam because, in terms of spirituality, I am theKhātam-ul-Khulafā’ in Islām just as Masīh Ibn Mariamwas the Khātam-ul-Khulafā’ for the Israelitedispensation. In the Mosaic dispensation, Ibn Mariamwas the Promised Messiah and in the <strong>Muhammad</strong>andispensation, I am the Promised Messiah. Hence, Irespect him who has the same name as me and only amischievous one and a liar would say <strong>to</strong> me that I dono respect Masīh as Ibn Mariam 38 .It is clear from the context of the above quotation that HazratMirzā Ghulām Ahmad as is not using the word khātam <strong>to</strong> speakof the finality of the Khilāfah of Hazrat ‘Īsā as in terms of time. Heis actually speaking of Hazrat ‘Īsā’s as finality in terms of statusbecause he compares him <strong>to</strong> himself and states that he is theKhātam-ul-Khulafā’ in Islām in terms of spirituality just as MasīhIbn Mariam as was the Khātam-ul-Khulafā’ for the Israelites.
