ََُّّ200 <strong>With</strong> <strong>Love</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>Muhammad</strong> sa the Khātam-un-Nabiyyīnthat ‘Īsā as shall appear. So, when he appears, he shallbe before him [the Prophet <strong>Muhammad</strong> sa ] and afterhim.” 214It is hard <strong>to</strong> understand how the above hadīth supports FarhanKhan’s understanding. In fact, this hadīth supports theAhmadiyya Muslim understanding. Hazrat Mirzā Bashīr-ud-Dīn Mahmūd Ahmad ra explains this further when he writes:The following matters are apparent from this hadīth:1. According <strong>to</strong> Al-Mughīrah bin Shu‘bah, thephrase Khātam-un-Nabiyyīn does not mean thatno prophets can come after him [the HolyProphet <strong>Muhammad</strong> sa ]2. According <strong>to</strong> him, the words دہٗ‏ َ َبa ْ a لا (there isno prophet after him) are not as authentic as thephrase Khātam-un-Nabiyyīn3. According <strong>to</strong> Al-Mughīrah bin Shu‘bah, therewas the possibility of the coming of a prophetafter the Holy Prophet sa4. He did not believe that Hazrat ‘Īsā as is alive inheaven. That is why he did not say that Hazrat‘Īsā as shall descend from heaven. Instead, he says:‏ْہِ‏ اa َّ َ َ مaخارِج‏ِدث َ a َ ْ ٰ ِaَ ُ‏َبِ‎‏َّ‏‏ُح‏َّاa‏َنaا(We used <strong>to</strong> say that he shall appear on land).
