Opinion of the Sahāba ra , Ā’immah, and Mujaddidīn rh 211The ahādīth compiled by Hazrat Imām Jalāl-ud-Dīn Suyūtī rhshow that the following six sahaba ra interpreted the phraseKhātam-an-Nabiyyīn exactly in accordance with theinterpretation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamā‘at.1. Hazrat Ayesha raSay that he was Khātam-un-Nabiyyīn, but do not say thatthere will be no prophet after him.2. Hazrat Mughīrah raA man in the company of Al-Mughīrah bin Abī Shu‘bah said,“May Allāh bless Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, thereis no prophet after him.” Al-Mughīrah said, “It was enough foryou when you said, ‘The Seal of the Prophets,’ for we used todiscuss that ‘Īsā as shall appear. So, when he appears, he shall bebefore him [the Prophet Muhammad sa ] and after him”.3. Hazrat ‘Alī ra4. Hazrat Abū ‘Abd-ur-Rahmān Al-Sulamiyya ra , theteacher of Hazrat Imām Hassan ra and Imām Hussain ra5. Hazrat Imām Hassan ra6. Hazrat Imām Hussain raHazrat Abū ‘Abd-ur-Rahmān Al-Sulamiyya ra said, “I wasappointed to teach Hassan ra and Hussain ra [the Holy Qur’ān].Then, once, Hazrat ‘Alī bin Abī Tālib ra passed by me and I wasteaching them to read, ‘wa Khātim-an-Nabiyyīn.’ Then, he[Hazrat ‘Alī ra ] said to me, ‘Teach them to recite, ‘wa Khātaman-Nabiyyīn’with the fatah on tā.’”
