On the basis of the report of the <strong>eSafety</strong> Working Group and other consultations, theCommission adopted in September 2003 a Communication on <strong>eSafety</strong> 37 . TheCommunication presents the Commission’s recommendations to accelerate thedevelopment and deployment of ICT in road safety, in particular the wider, accelerateduse of active safety systems called Intelligent Vehicle Safety Systems.In September 2005 the Commission adopted 2 nd <strong>eSafety</strong> Communication 38 “BringingeCall to Citizens”.
