Capital Project DetailsFR Fleet Enhancement ProjectsBus Catalyst Devices ($1.6 million)This project was previously discussed in the “Fleet Plan” section.Bus Security & Fare box Enhancements ($99 thousand)This project being completed during FY 2008-09 will add digital cameraequipment and enhanced fare boxes to the fixed route fleet. In FY08 that earmark was extendedand another was added. Tri Delta Transit is currently applying forthese funds and has identified a property. There are additional STIPfunds of $14 million outside of the scope of this SRTP to use for addingadditional satellite park and ride lots throughout the service area thatwill feed eBART when it is built and serve as inter-modal transferpoints for enhanced express bus service in the meantime. Twoadditional over-the-road coaches will need to be purchased asmentioned above in “Fixed Route Fleet Additions” to add service tothese PnR lots.104
Bus Stop Enhancements ($500 thousand)The Tri Delta Transit capital plan earmarks $50m per year from localfunds to improve and upgrade the amenities at bus stops as needed.Administration and Maintenance Facility ($2.2 million)These are capitalized expenditures for maintenance of theadministrative and maintenance facility as well as office and shopequipment. There is a general allowance of $100 thousand/year. Thetotal also includes $184 thousand for a recently completed bus washreplacement and a $1M, TDA funded, major capital facilityenhancement that has been deferred indefinitely.105
