Individual Fixed Route PerformancePerformance by individual fixed route for FY 2003-04 is summarized inTable 3.5; FY 2006-07 is summarized in Table 3.6.Figure 3.5 below compares the average productivity in boardings(passengers) per revenue vehicle hour (RVH for Tri Delta Transitroutes for both FY 2003-04 and 2006-07. In FY 2003-04, systemproductivity averaged 14.4 boardings/RVH and 15.5 boardings/RVH inFY 2006-07. Route 300 was the best performing express route witharound 13 boardings/RVH in FY 2006-07; Route 200 to Martinezaveraged about 7.3 boardings/RVH, a slight improvement from FY2003-04. DX-1 and DX-2 averaged 9.6 and 6.6 boardings/RVH,respectively. Special shuttles and 49er shuttles also had relatively goodperformance. No service was provided on the new Delta Express routeto Martinez and Route 201, the latter which began August 26, 2007during FY 2007-08.All local routes except Route 70 and Saturday Route 393 improvedtheir performance in FY 2006-07 compared to FY 2003-04. As a result, service on Route 70 was reduced somewhat, and Saturday service onthe Brentwood Dimes-A-Ride was discontinued completely due to lowproductivity.Since FY 2003-04, Tri Delta Transit began operation of four newroutes, 384, 385, and 386 on weekdays, and new route 394 onSaturdays and Sundays. Routes 384 and 385 are community shuttleroutes covering Southeast Antioch and Brentwood; Route 386 is a“lifeline” route connecting Discovery Bay and Brentwood. Given thesprawling low density, affluent suburban nature of this area and manyvacant parcels of land still to be developed, the relatively lowproductivity of Routes 384 and 385 (6.2 and 9.4 boardings/RVH,respectively) is to be expected. Patronage on both routes is expectedto mature over the next few years as the area continues to developFigure 3.5 Route Productivity, FY 2003-04 and FY 2006-073025Boardings Per RVH20151050DXDX-1DX-2200300Shuttles7020133BDR380383384FY 2003-04 FY 2006-07385386387388389390391Sat-BDRSat-392Sat-393Sat-394Sun-392Sun-393Sun-394
