Instructions for The Printed or Electronic PortfolioProcedureThe Portfolio shall be submitted in an electronic or in a paper format. A final copy of ThePortfolio shall be presented to the <strong>Education</strong> <strong>Division</strong> after approval for archival purposes.Interns will divide their portfolios into the following sections. Title page with intern’s name and photo. Table of contents Résumé Philosophy or belief statement describing thoughts about education and how children learn. Performance Competencies Record sheet(s) for each principle Separate labeled sections for the seven standards. Provide the definition for each standard. (<strong>LCSC</strong> Definition & Personal Definition) Provide at least two pieces of evidence (artifacts) for each of the seven standards. For eachpiece of evidence, interns will provide a specific explanation about why they believe that theevidence demonstrates their ability to meet that standard.o Dedicated Professionalo Knowledgeable Professionalo Culturally Responsive Educatoro Content Specialisto <strong>Education</strong>al Designero <strong>Education</strong>al Facilitatoro <strong>Education</strong>al Evaluatoro Reflective ProfessionalFormal evaluations gathered from Internship I and IIAppendicesInterns should maintain a separate hard copy file folder of all evaluations from both Internship Iand II and present this file when they submit their portfolios. Any one piece of evidence(artifact) may be used only once. For example, a lesson plan cannot be used as evidence formore than one standard.Other items that may be of value should be placed into the appendix. It is important that internsdemonstrate the ability to meet the knowledge, skills, and dispositions more than once and on aregular basis. Therefore, there should be multiple rubric-based references to the variousknowledge, skills, and dispositions. As the semester progresses, interns should regularly lookthrough their materials to decide if they are using the strongest items of evidence. Replace weakitems with the newer and stronger items.35
