These can be optical phononassistedtransitions, for example, and spherical phonons with the angularmomentum 0 and 2 can participate in these transitions [22–24]. As a result,the polarization properties of the low-temperature PL are determined <strong>by</strong> thepolarization properties of virtual optical transitions that are activated <strong>by</strong> thephonons. The external magnetic field can also activate the dark exciton if isnot directed along the hexagonal axis of the NC. In this case, F is no longer agood quantum number and the F2 or 0 dark-exciton states are admixed withthe optically active F1 bright-exciton states.
