135Conferences on Telework in BudapestIn November 2000 Budapest was the home <strong>of</strong> the Conference <strong>of</strong> the EMERGENCE project. InMarch 2001 an international conference titled “Telework 2001 in Europe” was organized by aHungarian civil organization to promote the idea <strong>of</strong> e-work and showcase good e-work practicesamong corporate and government decision makers.On the 11-12th <strong>of</strong> October 2001 a conference titled “e-Hungary” will take place in Budapest. Thefour main section <strong>of</strong> the conference will be• e-business• e-capital• e-learning / e-working• e-securityTeleworking / eworking in Hungary has become a widely discussed and promoted concept at thehighest levels <strong>of</strong> administration and the idea is welcome by a relatively large share <strong>of</strong> employersand the workforce too.
