Apply brakes or use chocks.DiggersWhen using Never walk under the raised working equipment or the raised load. Before starting excavation work ascertain the type and location of supply and disposal lines. Ascertain and mark the course of the line.Digger used as a lifting tool Hydraulic diggers must have overload warning devices and if necessary be fitted with devicesto ensure the hoses cannot break. Turn the overload warning devices on. Use permissible attachment points. Do not swing the load over people. If necessary guide the attached load with guide ropes. People helping to guide the load and riggers must be in the digger driver's line of sight andstay outside the lane.Loaders/ GradersProtective measures A roll over protective device in compliance with the standard must be fitted as well as seatbeltsin machines with a drive power of more than 15kW. The existing seatbelts must be worn. People riding on the machine must use the seats provided for this. When using Before reversing make sure that there is nobody standing in the danger area. Adjust mirrors. When driving loading appliances keep the operating equipment close to the floor. Only lift this just before you reach the vehicle to be loaded. When on a slope always keep the loads facing uphill. When travelling in a public traffic area cover the cutting edges or teeth of the equipment. At tipping points there is the risk of toppling over. If necessary use parking stops. If loaders are used as excavating devices in front of a rock face the height of the face mustnot exceed the reach height of the machine by more than 1.00m. With machines with articulated jointsthere is an increased risk of toppling over when the joints are articulated. The articulated joint must be immobilised for servicing and repair work.3.4.16.4.
