Public safety and environmental protectionIf there is a risk of danger to the public by falling parts, transport procedures, pollution, risk of trippingup etc. this area must be made safe. In addition, HPE's site manager must be informed immediately.All people involved must keep the effects on the surrounding environment as low as possible by usingenvironmentally-friendly working methods, substances and equipment.Dust build up must be kept to a minimum.3.5.3. Protecting local vegetationIf there is the risk that local vegetation could be affected by work processes, HPE's permissionmust be obtained in good time before work starts.Each subcontractor will inform HPE in advance of environmental protection requirements for soil,waterways, vegetation, animals etc.3.5.4. Disposing of, storing and recycling wasteThe subcontractor must compile a disposal and recycling <strong>plan</strong> for the removal of waste. HPE hasXXXX as a contractual partner for waste disposal.As large a part of waste as possible should be sent for recycling. Thus, for example, waste woodand paper and cardboard should be sent to the paper industry, mineral waste prepared for roadbuilding, mixed waste further treated by XXXX and residual combustible substances used to burnwaste. Waste must be separated accordingly.3.5.5. Waste/ products that are a potential risk3.5.5.1. Hazardous substances and wasteWhen dealing with waste or products which can be assumed to be a risk for people and the environmentGefStoffV (§ 14) and BGV A1 (§ 7 Para. 2) must be observed particularly. A copy of thevalid EC safety data sheet and the full operating instructions in accordance with § 14 GefStoffVmust be submitted to the client (e.g. specialist safety officers) and kept at the place of use. If necessaryan occupational medical must be performed.Dealing with asbestos must be reported to the responsible authorities immediately, no later thantwo weeks before work starts.3.5.5.2. Supplying potentially hazardous productsWhen potentially hazardous products are delivered the contractor must find out about the potentialhazards of these materials. These products must be labelled in accordance with the Gefahrstoffverordnung(GefStoffV) (Hazardous substances regulations).
