Today, many countries haveintroduced legislations for the prevention of Cyber Crime or ComputerCrime, but still there are some countries having lack of protectionmechanism. In India, IT Act is applicable, but even after amendment inthe Act, there are still some problems faced by the investigating agencies.The study will explore the importance of Cyber Law in India and howCyber Crimes are covered under the IT Act. The study also focuses on theneed to change the provisions of the existing laws with the primer of newtechnology related to information technology.IntroductionTHE study of jurisprudence refers to the Legal Theory, NaturalLaw Theory, Legal Positivism and Case Laws. Legal theorystudies laws in general; Natural Law theory says that all thelaws enacted by an authority must closely correspond to Natural Law,which is based on the principle of morality. In accordance with LegalPositivism, laws are made in accordance with socially accepted rules.Case Laws help in interpretation of laws to clarify the real objectiveand meaning of laws that are ambiguous.
