5. Student Activitiesa. Auditory (Hearing)1. Students will listen to the sounds of a mother in active labor, and be responsive tothe mother’s actions during this painful process.b. Visual (Seeing)1. Students will view audiovisual materials about labor and delivery showing the latestages of labor. Students will see the proper technique for suctioning an infant,assessing the newborn, and uterine massage technique for continued bleeding afterdelivery.c. Kinesthetic (Doing)1. Students will practice assisting in a normal delivery.2. Students will practice necessary care of the fetus as its head appears duringdelivery.3.
