The following message is displayed on the KeypadDisplay:--Update complete--Insert job card andcycle Power to reboot.7. Insert a job card. Switch the power OFF and then ON again to start the<strong>RoadRunner</strong> with the updated firmware.3NOTE: Algorithm updates are not performed using the UpdateSoftware menu item. Device algorithms do not reside within the<strong>RoadRunner</strong> itself. They are provided by TaskLink with the programmingjob on the PCMCIA memory card.Algorithms are updated on TaskLink. For more informationregarding algorithm updates contact your <strong>Data</strong> I/O sales representative.Network SettingsNetwork commands are covered in Chapter 2. See “Configuring for NetworkCommunication” on page 2-31.ConfigurationThe <strong>RoadRunner</strong> configuration command is under the System > Configmenu. Here you will find the model designation of your <strong>RoadRunner</strong>, suchas Model: Siemens-XLF, for example, for <strong>RoadRunner</strong> eXtra-Large-Format for Siemens SMT machines.The Feeder Comm command allows setting Siemens <strong>RoadRunner</strong>sshipped after September 2007 to FFI so it communicates withSIPLACE X-Series placement machines.Installed Boards and Hardware Configuration Identification(HwConfigId) are listed, which aid in determining if new device supportalgorithms are compatible with your <strong>RoadRunner</strong> hardware.Miscellaneous items under System > Config are:• several Prog Key commands used for, and described in, our securedigital management software (sold separately)• (a special request option) a Reel Detect command which detectswhen a reel of devices has been removed and signals the SMT line.
