Comparative and superlative<br />
Adjective and adverb pairs of antonyms and contrasts do not occur solely in the positive form.<br />
They also have a comparative form and a superlative form. (See Chapter 9 for the formation and<br />
use of comparative and superlative adjectives and adverbs.) When adjectives are used as predicate<br />
adjectives, the comparative has no ending, and the superlative appears in a prepositional phrase<br />
