1.1 Overview
This system is a radar system for vessels that complies with the performance
standards of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The system consists
of a scanner unit for transmitting and receiving radio waves, a transmitter-receiver
unit that generates signals for transmission and amplifies received signals, and a
display unit that removes unwanted waves and displays the radar image.

The radio waves transmitted via the system's magnetron transmitter are pulse
modulated waves in either 3 GHz (S band) or 9.4 GHz (X band).
In addition to the basic radar functions, the system features a number of functions
that support maritime safety, such as a radar track display function, a target
tracking function, and an automatic identification system (AIS) information
display function.
