4.2.16 Brake Unit replacement (NZR-17)<br />

[Required tools]<br />

• A Phillips screwdriver for 5 mm screws<br />

• A Phillips screwdriver for 4 mm screws<br />

• A Phillips screwdriver for 3 mm screws<br />

• Tools for removing the cover from the scanner unit<br />

(see Section 4.2.1, page 4-2)<br />

[Replacement procedure]<br />

1) Remove the cover on the right (starboard) side (see Section 4.2.1, page 4-2).Remove<br />

the receiver unit (see Section 4.2.12, page 4-16).<br />

2) Remove the cable connected to J1911 and<br />

J1921 in the brake control circuit board<br />

CCB-655.<br />

3) Remove the four screws (M4) holding the<br />

brake control circuit board to replace the<br />

brake unit NZR-17.<br />

Remove 4<br />

screws.<br />

4) After replacing the brake unit, assemble the<br />

unit in the reverse order of the disassembly<br />

procedure.<br />

Do not forget to tighten the screws and connect<br />

the cables.<br />

[Check points]<br />

1) Turn on the radar power supply. After the countdown is completed, start emission and<br />

check that the radar image appears without error.<br />
