INDEX > 2.System Configulation > 2.2 Power System DIagram The electrical schematic diagram for the system is shown in Fig.2-1, Fig.2-2. The ship's DC power supply is input via a line filter on I/F circuit CMH2201 and a circuit breaker to power supply circuit CBD-1665A, generating the required voltage. Each power supply circuit is a highly efficient switching power supply circuit. The system is equipped with overvoltage protection. If the input voltage exceeds DC42V, power supply circuit CBD-1665A cuts power supply and if the input voltage exceeds DC50V, the circuit breaker trips to prevent the excessive voltage from being applied to the system. The setting for the input voltage is made on the power supply circuit CBD-1665A. 2 The +12Vp power supply operates even when the operating unit is turned off. This power supply is used in functions such as the control circuit of the power supply circuit and the inter switch control function. When the power switch of the operating unit is turned on, the power supply used in the system is activated and outputs power at the following voltages: +5V/ +3.3V/+12V/-12V/monitor power, then the system starts. The +5V/+3.3V voltages are used primarily by the control circuit ICs. The +12V/-12V voltages are primarily used in the external interface circuit. The power supply output relay for the scanner are turned on and off independently of the power for the system itself. When the scanner unit power on control signal is input from the inter switch unit from the inter switch function, the power supply output relay for the scanner come on. Where the inter switch function is not used, these actions are linked to the power switch of the operating unit. Each power supply output has output over current protection, so that if there is a short circuit of the load or the rated output is exceeded, protective functions are activated and shut down the output. 2-5
