One can barely remember the last time W-H
held a dance. And one must go back even further
to find a successful dance. With that in mind, the
Student Council worked feverishly to produce
such an affair, appropriately, for Valentine’s Day.
While the evening’s participants were home dolling
themselves up, various council members labored
to change the front hall and the All-Purpose
room into a daring, decorated disco. Despite all of
the planning, disaster almost struck. Five minutes
before the dance was to start, the DJ asked
where the circuit breakers were located, thus
sending shock and panic through the council officers.
However, everything was resolved, and the
dance went according to plan.
A rather good turnout made the festivities even
better, as the dance was not only profitable, but
also a perfect occasion for smurfing out, slow
dancing, doing the "ET”, or whatever one is into.
Even though the dance ended, its spirit carried on
into March, as it was the cause for some pre-
Vacation smurfing.
