How do living things affect each other?
1
FRAYER MODEL
Copy and complete the below chart in
your workbook.
An ecosystem is a biological community
of living things, such as plants and animals,
and non-living things, such as air and water.
The way that living things interact can
be shown using food chains and webs.
Many people struggle to share their home
with spiders, but killing them can have a big
impact on an ecosystem. Spiders eat insects
and pests that might otherwise damage
natural plant environments and ruin crops.
They are a food source for animals such as
birds, so removing them from an ecosystem
can be devastating.
