Cocaine and Heroin

Definition: Influence of cocaine and/or of heroin

on fetal malformation and development.

Incidence: This varies; teratogenic effect of these

drugs are rare.

Embryology: Cocaine and heroin may cause an

increase in maternal blood pressure. This results
