Assessment Intervention Evaluation/Outcome<br />

• Do not crush beads; enteric coating will be<br />

destroyed.<br />

• Do not add beads to baby’s bottle. Beads will<br />

block the nipple opening.<br />

For children, instruct:<br />

• Swallow enzymes in capsule <strong>for</strong>m, once they<br />

are able to safely swallow capsules.<br />

• Do not chew beads; enteric coating will be<br />

destroyed.<br />
