Characterization of Employees in Portugal and in the International Market
Since this chapter is dedicated to the optimization and development
of Efacec employees, it is worth mentioning the main indexes for
their characterization.
Employees placed in companies based in Portugal are basically
distributed throughout the Group’s three geographical hubs.
The hub of Arroteia includes 1259 employees, the hub of Carnaxide
has 937 and the hub of Maia has 888.
Efacec employees are evenly distributed throughout the several age
brackets.
Approximately 70% of the company’s employees have a permanent
contract and the remaining ones a fi xed-term contract. Employees
under a fi xed-term contract have the same benefi ts as employees

under a permanent contract, with the exception of health insurance.
In 2011, this benefi t is expected to be extended to these employees.
In 2010, 165 employees left the company, which corresponds to a
staff turnover of 5.4%.
Non-discrimination of gender continues to be a focus of monitoring
and continued efforts for Efacec, which operates in a sector where
it is common to observe discrepancies between the number of men
and women.
Efacec employees profi t from a wide range of benefi ts that
contribute to a good work environment. It possesses facilities
capable of providing major services that facilitate the employees’
daily routine.
