Chapter 3 Using Progress Sonic Launcher Installer
The Progress Sonic Container Launcher establishes the resources on a distributed system
that support a Sonic management container. The Launcher folder is a consistent
foundation for Sonic component installations. There is a Launcher folder in Sonic
Workbench, SonicMQ Development, and Domain Manager. The Sonic Container
Launcher Installer provides the same launcher functionality in its installed location, and
lets you configure a management container with additional framework components (an
activation daemon and a host manager) and set up a Windows service.
Once the local launcher configures and sets up a management container, administrative
tools can define and maintain configurations such as brokers and ESB services in the
Directory Service store that, as components of the container, are provisioned dynamically
to the container’s working directory.

various platforms.
● “Running the Container Launcher Installer” describes the graphical installer wizard
that installs the launcher and can also setup container in a domain.
