A Domain Manager broker accepts management connections from management
containers that are supported versions in the Directory Service.

container of the same version.
Compatibility of Activation Daemons to Management Containers
Management containers that are intended for launching through an activation daemon
must be of the same version as the activation daemon.

Generally, SonicMQ Java clients that are a few versions behind the current version are
supported by a current version’s broker. An older supported client is limited to its
version’s client functionality. However, 8.5 clients are not supported by any earlier
version’s brokers.
You should plan to upgrade clients after upgrading messaging brokers. Clients that use
client-side persistence should force a client’s 8.5 persistent store to be flushed before
