This paper will briefly set the scene for the educational <strong>de</strong>velopment and will thenproceed to <strong>de</strong>scribe the curricula implementation that is nowadays on the field, reflecting theaccumulated nine‐years’ experience of running the programmes. Finally, the author will offer hispersonal perspective on the difficulties of the <strong>de</strong>velopment and its implementation, as an actorengaged in the process.Keywords: project‐based learning, engineering education, and curriculum <strong>de</strong>velopmentResumenLos programas <strong>de</strong> ingeniería impartidos en la Escuela Politécnica Superior <strong>de</strong> Educación <strong>de</strong>Águeda, Universidad <strong>de</strong> Aveiro, se han venido organizando <strong>de</strong>s<strong>de</strong> 2001 bajo el paradigma <strong>de</strong>Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos. Este breve artículo se propone mostrar el marco <strong><strong>de</strong>l</strong> <strong>de</strong>sarrolloeducativo y proce<strong>de</strong>r a continuación a <strong>de</strong>scribir la implementación actual <strong>de</strong> los planes <strong>de</strong>estudio en este campo, <strong>de</strong> acuerdo con la experiencia acumulada durante nueve años <strong>de</strong>funcionamiento.
