1 Previous to these regulations, Social Work was considered only as a reference specialisation within social<br />

science field.<br />

2 In order to establish an Educational Plan, the National Evaluation Commission recommends a set of<br />

disciplines classified as fundamental , field training, compulsory specialisation and optional specialisation –<br />

as complementary disciplines but the final study list as well as its logic and epistemological succession is an<br />

issue that regards more universities’ autonomy. Yet, these firm recommendations uphold the idea of national<br />

unitary curricula connected to the European standards and practices, though sometimes this may be<br />

contestable from the point of view of resources, interests and local finalities.<br />

3 Without being on observation verified all over, in most of the casses the university curricula has been built<br />

by using the existing profesors who were with an allready formed profile in a given faculty, and little taking<br />

into consideration the exigences of social worker profession. See the apartenence of the social work<br />

specialisation to the diverse faculties as in Table 1, apartenence that sugested the different contaminations<br />

of the contents due to the social and personal relations ball that work in a small group.<br />

4 The is a specialised literature that circulates at the level of the university centres, but in this case it shows<br />

up the risc of transforming the specialised training into a sectarian act, a group or even a family one. The use<br />

of the whide national spread editures imposes as well as inter-university cooperations as points of the<br />

institutional developing strategies.
