Remember thatfavor though guys — can you linkus with Dave Fridmann? It wouldbe fun to geek out with him for afew days in the studio.What I love about this is10 he is still staying true tohis sound and not just doingcertain electronic-music tricksand turns because they are »ofthe moment«.If I were in the middle of10 a real rock’n’roll crowd,sweating, slightly beer-buzzed,in a nightclub with just-decentsound I would be rocking hardto this.What a singing voice!!!!!!!!!10I listen to »So Far Gone«10 and »Take Care« so muchthat I needed this. BAD. Drake isa drug for me. Nobody like him.This was food and I ate it.It’s interesting how they10 collab on this record, thereare extra writers on a few ofthe songs. I like that collectivistmentality, in this case it makesparty music.Ain’t nobody like Trent.10 10’s across the board. Auchdie Lyrik hat Stellen ...Sehr abwechslungsreich,5 aber irgendwie zu klinisch.Manchmal irgendwie Jackson,manchmal irgendwie princig,manchmal irgendwie ... Ist mirzu unentschieden.Von wem hab ich das schon3 mal besser gehört? Ach ja,KanYe West, und den hör ichgar nicht.Zu anstrengend — aus dem4 Alter bin ich raus ... Ich stehedoch mehr auf den »Ready fromthe weekend«-Sound!Ich habe großen Respekt vor7 Herrn Raznor, ihn aber nieweiter verfolgt. Ich werde es auchjetzt nicht tun. I know that the sameguy who worked on it, workedon the last Vampire Weekendalbum, as well as a lot of otherstuff that I am fan of.I really like them. I think the8 songs are very well writtenand the sound and the productionremind me of a more modernversion of some 80s synthpop stuff that I really like.It’s not really my cup5,5 of tea. That’s definitelywhat I describe as a singer/songwriter.He is probably a lyricistfirst and then a musician. Buthe is good in what he is doing.I am a big MGMT fan and7 I love the pop stuff and thesecond record for entirelly differentreasons. This new recordis definitely as strong as »Congratulations«.I really like »Almost Home«.6 Strangely enough it remindsme of Bon Iver, it sounds like BonIver singing. I never really gotinto his stuff, but it definitelysounds like Moby.It reminds me of the6,5 Dum Dum Girls. I canimagine the live show beinggood. But there wasn’t enoughof that kind of rock energy inthe recording.In general I am definitely5,5 a fan of that kind of R’n’Bstuff that has been released duringthe last couple of years; likethe big Frank Ocean album. Butthis is not as good.That’s one of my favourites!I am a big fan of this7,5album. We played it almost everynight after our shows during ourtour in the US.It just sounds like what pop6 radio is in the States rightnow. It’s taking many ideas ofdance music, like techno andhouse and stuff, but really makingit shiny and bright.A little bit dark for my taste,5 like that kind of industrialsound. It’s just not my thing.Browsing through it there wasnothing that was super catchy.It’s probably good but not for me.Ø 5,70Was klingt wie Daughter8 mit einem Hauch 80s, machtspätestens nach dem vierten Liedgroßen Spaß. Das Album alsGanzes bietet leider ein bisschenwenig Abwechslung.Super Instrumentale im Stile9 von M83 und trotzdem eintotal abwechslungsreiches Album.Einziger Kritikpunkt gehtan die etwas gewöhnungsbedürftigeStimme der Frontfrau.Kann man ganz gut mal nebenherlaufen lassen. Mehr6halt leider auch nicht. SchöneStimme, schöne Riffs, insgesamtaber doch eine Nummer zu ruhigund eintönig.Das erste Album fand ich2 noch super, das zweite grenzwertig,aber was ist das hier dennbitte? Kläglich gescheiterter Versuch,möglichst experimentelleMusik zu machen..Beginnt mit fantastischen9 vier Songs und baut dannleider minimal ab. Trotzdem:superdeepes TripHop-Albumin guter alter Moby-Manier.Geniale Stimme, ordentlich7 rockig, bleibt trotzdem leiderkaum im Ohr. »Get With Me«kann ich nur empfehlen.Klasse Instrumentale, die8 Stimmen erinnern michleider etwas an Jason Derulound Konsorten. Trotzdem eingutes, facettenreiches Album.Es gibt schon guten HipHop,1 das hier gehört definitiv nichtdazu. Schwache Beats, schlechteRaps, nicht mal das Feature mitJay-Z weiß zu überzeugen.Den Song »I Love It« kannte2 ich ja schon aus dem Radiound muss sagen, da liefen schonschlechtere Lieder. Leider klingtder Rest des Albums ziemlichgleich und langweilig.Dieser Versuch, sich neu5 zu erfinden, hat leider nurbedingt funktioniert. Natürlichgibt es einzelne Songs, dieherausstechen, das Album alsGanzes verflacht derweil etwas.Ø 6,10Früher haben wir in unserer9 Punkerclique viel Bananaramagehört und dann geheult. Esist so bescheuert, weil es wahrist. Und mit Haim wieder möglich.Dass Pop per se links ist,10 ist eine These, die längstzum Anachronismus vergangenist. Doch bei Chvrches verstehtman noch mal, was gemeint war.Hit und Befreiung!Paul, die Angst greift nach3 mir. Jetzt, wo deine Musiknicht mehr wirkt. Ich fühltemich damals fast menschlich,wie leicht man sich doch irrt ...Die Übermelodie von »Kids«2 — hey, dabei hätt’s doch bleibenkönnen. Nein, aus dem Hitleitet man ein Langzeit-Mandatab. Schwurbel-Progpop brauchtdoch keine Sau.Idee: Mach doch mal wieder3 eine gute Platte, Moby!Musikalisch sprödere Versionvon Sleater-Kinney mit9Anwandlungen Richtung Joy Division.Du nennst es Depression,ich nenn es Party.Wenn ich das höre, frage7 ich mich, warum ich nie mitBoy George geschlafen habe.Ach, was mache ich mir vor,damals im Bootshaus war dieGelegenheit.Das feiern jugendliche8 Intro-Player wie die KollegenWalter und Fassing. Vielleichtsollte ich auch drauf abgehen,allein schon, um es ihnen kaputtzu machen.Das ist eine Ansprache, die9 ich verstehe. Wie Robynauf extrem gutem Koks undnachdem sie eine Dose Faxe geschossenhat.
