reception
The Ambassador of the Republic of
Poland to Austria, H.E. Jolanta Róża
Kozłowska and the chairman of Vienna
Insurance Group Mag. Harald Riener,
together with the president of the Vienna
Landtag, Ernst Wollner, invited to a
festive reception at the Polish Embassy
and an impressive light-projection at
the Vienna Ringturm. The occasion was
the 40th anniversary of the founding of
the Solidarność-movement, which is an
independent Polish trade union.
Ambassador and Permanent Representative
of Sri Lanka, H.E. Majintha
Jayesinghe invited to a unique journey
through the culinary treasures of Sri
Lanka at the Helden Restaurant in front
of Weltmuseum Vienna. During the
event, Vienna-based Sri-Lankan restaurants
presented their food and provided
the visitors and invitees a glimpse into
the multi-facetted and delicious Sri-Lankan
cuisine including traditional dishes
like Kottu, Hoppers, rice and curry.
H.E. Dr. Andor Nagy, Ambassador of
Hungary to Austria, invited to a festive
hour with reception at the Embassy of
Hungary in celebration of the presentation
of a Commander’s Cross with the
star of the Order of Merit of Hungary to
Mag. Wolfgang Sobotka, president of the
Austrian Parliament. The Commander’s
Cross was conferred to Mag. Sobotka
in the presence of the president of the
National Assembly of Hungary, Dr. László
Kövér.

Vienna based Sri Lankan restaurants presented the
delicious and spicy cuisine of their home country to
the hungry guests
