HRH Prince Abdullah Bin Khaled Bin Sultan
Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Ambassador of
Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative
to the International Organizations in
Vienna, invited to celebrate the Presidency
of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
to the G20 Summit in Riyadh. After the
speeches of HRH, H.E. Ghada Waly, Director
General UNOV, H.E. Rafael Grossi,
Director General IAEA and Dr. Abdullah Al
Hasan, Saudi G20 Sous-Sherpa Executive
Director of Policy, the guests enjoyed a
great reception at Grand Hotel Vienna.
The Ambassador of Poland, H.E. Jolanta
Róża Kozłowska, the mayor and state
governor of Vienna, Dr. Michael Ludwig
and the president of the Vienna Landtag,
Ernst Woller, invited to a panel debate in
the Senate Chamber of the City Hall. Mr.
Woller, vice chancellor Dr. Erhard Busek,
editor Kurt Seinitz and Ambassador H.E.
Jolanta Róża Kozłowska discussed the
“Solidarność legacy and the challenges
Europe faces during Poland’s presidency
in the Visegrád group”. Editor Otmar Lahodynsky
guided through the evening.
In celebration of the 100th birthday of
singer, actress, and politician Melina
Mercouri (1920-1994), the Ambassador
of Greece, H.E. Catherine Koika invited
to a cultural event in the large broadcasting
hall of the ORF RadioKulturhaus.
After a reading from Mercouri’s
biography by moderator Arabella
Fenyves, a concert under direction of
Anastasios Strikos, who was also on
the piano, and Elpiniki Zervou guided
the audience through a journey of the
exciting life of the icon.
