The clinical education courses are conducted at an approved clinical education center and require<br />
supervised performance of magnetic resonance imaging of the head, neck, spine, chest,<br />
abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal system. Arrangements for clinical education sites are<br />
made by <strong>Roane</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> in cooperation with the MRI instructor.<br />

Accelerated courses are for technologists already employed in MRI that will be able to move<br />
through the clinical competencies at a faster rate.<br />
Non-accelerated courses are for those technologists that have no previous experience in MRI<br />
and will move at a slower rate in achieving required competencies.<br />

MAMMOGRAPHY<br />

This course covers radiographic interventional procedures, anatomy, positioning, technique,<br />
quality control, and the Mammography Quality Standards Act. This course will prepare registered<br />
radiologic technologists to take the A.R.R.T. mammography registry. 8 week course.<br />

This course will cover radiographic pathology and abnormalities of the breast. It is designed to<br />
enhance knowledge of registered mammographers as well as those seeking to take the A.R.R.T.<br />
mammography registry. 8 week course.<br />

This course is an introduction to prior learning assessment and the standards used to evaluate<br />
prior learning through portfolio preparation. Patterns of learning in personal, professional, and<br />
former education experiences will be identified for the creation of a portfolio. Creating a portfolio<br />
of documentation that will include types of training, work experiences, principles and<br />
practices of these experiences, examples of work, influential works and people, and summary<br />

This course is an introduction to the hospitality industry, with emphasis on the broad spectrum<br />
of hospitality organizations and career opportunities.<br />

This course is an in-depth introduction to hospitality management with an emphasis on the<br />
functions of the hospitality manager. It includes the historical and future perspectives of the<br />
hospitality industry.<br />

Nature of business, including economic issues and systems. An overview of the functional<br />
areas of business including management, marketing, financial systems, computers, accounting,<br />
