Occupational Therapy profession.<br />
MUSIC ORIENTATION EXPERIENCE—This club is designed to give<br />
music students an opportunity to meet and discuss all things relative to their<br />
music careers at RSCC and beyond. Agendas will include requirements for<br />
graduation, career planning, study resources, articulation, facility management,<br />
etc. Plans are also made for activities outside meetings, such as performances,<br />
projects, field trips, etc.<br />
OAK RIDGE INSTITUTE FOR CONTINUED LEARNING—This organization<br />
was formed and is managed by retired citizens for the purpose of<br />
providing non-credit courses, field trips and retreats for seniors. The ORICL<br />
is affiliated with the Elderhostel Institute Network and is one of among 250<br />
similar institutes in the U.S. and Canada. Membership in the ORICL is open<br />
to all residents of the RSCC service area. Members dues of $35 per person<br />
per semester entitle members to attend up to five of the Institute’s offerings<br />
a semester on a space available basis. Some courses, such as computer and<br />
art, and field trips may entail additional fees for use of equipment, materials,<br />
and transportation. The ORICL is located at the Oak Ridge Branch Campus,<br />
701 Briarcliff Avenue. For more information or to receive a schedule of<br />

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY STUDENT CLUB—The OTA Club has<br />
been formed to 1) promote the field of OT in the community and at RSCC; 2)<br />
promote participation in state and national OT organizations; 3) allow participation<br />
in campus fund raising activities; and 4) provide community service.<br />
PHI THETA KAPPA—An international honor society for two-year colleges.<br />
Invitation to membership is extended by the local chapter. To be eligible,<br />
students must complete at least twelve hours of college credit leading to<br />
an associate’s degree (part-time students are eligible); maintain a cumulative<br />
grade point average of 3.2, and enjoy full rights of citizenship in your country.<br />
International, regional, and chapter programs provide opportunities in the<br />
areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship. Benefits of membership<br />
include eligibility for transfer scholarships, automatic nomination for<br />
the national Dean’s List publication of outstanding students, automatic enrollment<br />
in the PTK Transfer Database, which is made available to four-year<br />
and senior level institutions that actively recruit transfer students; and the<br />
privilege of wearing the honors stole and tassel at graduation. For more<br />

PHYSICAL THERAPY STUDENT ASSOCIATION—The Physical<br />
Therapy Student Association has been formed to 1) promote the field of<br />
physical therapy at <strong>Roane</strong> <strong>State</strong> and in the community; 2) promote professional<br />
attitudes and behaviors in the PTA students.<br />
PLAYMAKERS—The Playmakers are a non-profit organization with its energies<br />
focused on theatrical productions. All students and community members<br />
are encouraged to be involved with the Playmakers. Recent play productions include:<br />
The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, The Diviners by Jim<br />
Leonard Jr., and the musical extravaganza, The Little Shop of Horrors.<br />
RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY STUDENT ASSOCIATION (RTSA)—<br />
This organization promotes the Radiologic Technology program at RSCC<br />
and in the community. The organizaiton encourages cooperation and unity
