sessed is whether the student is registering for courses or adding courses. For this purpose<br />

the following definitions shall be used:<br />

Registering for courses – a student registers for a course(s) only if he/she is not already<br />

enrolled in a course(s) meeting the same semester as the session in which he/she<br />

is enrolling.<br />

Adding courses – A student adds courses when he/she is already enrolled in a<br />

course(s) meeting the same semester as the session which he/she is enrolling.<br />

AUDIT FEE<br />

Fees for courses being audited are the same as those taken for credit. Auditors are<br />

not required to take examinations and receive no credit. Exceptions exist for students<br />

over 60 years of age who are auditing classes.<br />

MISCELLANEOUS FEES<br />

Application Fee (Non-Refundable). Each student applying for admission to the college<br />

for the first time will be assessed a $10 application fee. This fee is a one-time only<br />

fee and must accompany the application for admission.<br />

Campus Access Fee (Non-Refundable). This fee will be assessed in addition to the<br />

Student Activity Fee, and the Student Government fee.<br />

1. Each student who registers for classes at any college campus or center will be assessed<br />

a $5 campus access fee each semester. This will include students registering<br />

for credit classes as well as <strong>Community</strong> Service-Continuing Education classes.<br />

Students registering for non-credit programs that meet fewer than twelve weeks, or<br />

fewer than twelve clock hours, or for which fees are not charged will be issued a<br />

temporary parking permit but not assessed an access fee.<br />

2. Faculty and staff will be assessed an annual campus access fee of $10. Persons<br />

who are employed Spring Semester or after will be accessed a campus access fee<br />

of $5.<br />

3. All faculty, staff, and students who pay the campus access fee will be given a<br />

parking decal. Additional decals will be available at a cost of $1.<br />

4. All vehicles parked or operated by any person in connection with their employment<br />

or attending classes of the college must be registered with the college. All<br />

other persons on campus who are not short-term visitors must have a temporary<br />

parking permit.<br />

Deferred Payment Participation Fee (Non-Refundable). Students participating in<br />

the deferred payment plan will be assessed a $25 participation fee that is due and<br />

payable with the initial down payment of fees.<br />

Deferred Payment Life Payment Fee (Non-Refundable). A late payment fee of $25<br />

will be assessed for each installment payment which is received after the due date for<br />

that payment.<br />

Fitness Center Fee (Refundable). A $15 fee is assessed to each student enrolled in<br />

Fitness for Living courses. The fee provides funds to maintain extended operational<br />

hours for the fitness centers and also to maintain and/or replace fitness center equipment<br />

required for the courses.<br />

Graduation Fee. Graduating students are assessed a fee of $25 to cover the cost of a<br />

diploma and other related costs. This fee must be paid when the graduation application<br />

is submitted and is refundable only if the student does not graduate and no costs are in-<br />
