* The first entry of Paul de T.anierie in the mark-book of the Goldsmiths'<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>Hall</str<strong>on</strong>g> occurs in 1712, Avhen lie resided at the Golden Ball, in "Windmill Street,<br />

in the Haymarket. In 1739 he removed to Garrard Street or Gerard Street,<br />

Soho. His mark np to 1732 was L. A. ciouned. In 1733 it was altered to<br />

P. L. crowned for the Old Standard.
