RNA <strong>in</strong>terference us<strong>in</strong>g small <strong>in</strong>terfer<strong>in</strong>g RNA (siRNA) or short-hairp<strong>in</strong> RNA (shRNA) has become a common technique for gene silenc<strong>in</strong>g studies.<br />
InvivoGen provides an extensive list of plasmid-based shRNAs that target genes <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> the <strong>in</strong>nate immunity. These plasmid-based shRNAs, called<br />
ready-made psiRNA, are useful to study the role of these target genes <strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong>nate immunity.<br />
Description<br />
Ready-made psiRNAs are psiRNA-h7SKGFPzeo-derived plasmids that express high amounts<br />
of shRNAs through the human 7SK RNA Pol III promoter. They feature a GFP::Zeo fusion<br />
gene which confers both reporter and antibiotic resistance activities allow<strong>in</strong>g simple<br />
monitor<strong>in</strong>g of transfection efficiency and selection <strong>in</strong> both E. coli and mammalian cells.<br />
Contents and Storage<br />
Ready-made psiRNA plasmids are available alone or <strong>in</strong> a kit.<br />
Each ready-made psiRNA plasmids is provided as 20 μg of lyophilized DNA.<br />
Each ready-made psiRNA kit conta<strong>in</strong>s the follow<strong>in</strong>g components:<br />
- 20 μg of the ready-made psiRNA plasmid of your choice<br />
- 20 μg of a control psiRNA plasmid target<strong>in</strong>g Luciferase GL3<br />
- 1 vial of LyoComp GT116<br />
