A. A maximum of twelve (12) individual student entry fees per school will be paid for<br />
participation in a maximum of ten (10) competitions within Tarrant County.<br />
B. No transportation costs or food expenses will be provided.<br />
II. Contiguous Counties (Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Johnson, Parker, and Wise)<br />
A. A maximum of twelve (12) individual student entry fees will be paid for participation in a<br />
maximum of four (4) competitions within contiguous counties.<br />
B. Transportation costs will be paid.<br />
C. No food or lodging will be provided.<br />
III. Competitions Within a 125-mile Radius of <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Worth</strong><br />
A. Entry fees, transportation costs, and food expenses (not to exceed what the district has<br />
specified for food and transportation), will be paid for up to twelve (12) individual student<br />
entries per school for participation in a maximum of two (2) competitions within a 125-mile<br />
radius of <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Worth</strong>.<br />
B. No lodging expenses will be provided.<br />
IV. Competitions Within a 225-mile Radius of <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Worth</strong><br />
Entry fees, transportation costs, food expenses (not to exceed what the district has specified for<br />
food and transportation) and lodging expenses, will be paid for a maximum of twelve (12)<br />
individual student entries per school for participation in a maximum of two (2) competitions<br />
within a 225-mile radius of <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Worth</strong>.<br />
V. Competitions Farther Than 225 miles From <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Worth</strong><br />
Expenses for trips to competitions located more than 225 miles from <strong>Fort</strong> <strong>Worth</strong> will be paid only<br />
by special permission from the director of UIL academics. Permission is to be requested at least<br />
three (3) weeks prior to the event. A maximum of twelve (12) individual student entry fees per<br />
school will be paid for a maximum of one (1) trip per year.<br />
VI. UIL Competitions<br />
A. The general expenses for conducting the district academic spring meet will be paid by the<br />
director of UIL academics, but no personal expenses or transportation costs will be paid.<br />
B. All expenses to compete in the area, regional, and state academic meets will be paid by the<br />
director of UIL academics.<br />
C. All schools should stay at the same district-selected hotel accommodations, unless an individual<br />
school chooses to pay for different accommodations.<br />
