exams, unless they complete the requirements of one (1) of the graduation programs and pass the<br />
exit-level TAKS.<br />
2.20.IIISeals to Indicate Completion of Various Academic Programs<br />
At least one (1) of the graduation seals adopted by the State Board of Education to indicate<br />
completion of a graduation program must be affixed to each student’s Academic Achievement<br />
Record in the upper right-hand corner to indicate which of the academic programs the student<br />
completed as outlined in 19 TAC § 74.14(d).<br />
2.21 Graduation Plans and Requirements<br />
Texas Education Law TEC 28.025(b), requires that Grade 9 students be enrolled in courses necessary to<br />
complete the curriculum requirements identified by the State Board for the Recommended or Advanced<br />
High School program (see Distinguished Achievement Program) unless the student, his/her<br />
parent/guardian, and a school counselor or school administrator agree that the student should be permitted<br />
to take courses under the minimum High School program. Documentation of the meeting to change the<br />
graduation program is required.<br />
